Autumn Trends I’m Dying to Try

Sitting in my room on this cold and miserable afternoon, I’ve realised I’m not all that prepared for the cooler months which are just around the corner. So I decided to hop online for a little inspiration and thought I’d share with you these amazing trends I’m keen to try that have made me (slightly) more excited about these cooler months.

1. Boyfriend jeans
I’ve only recently invested in a pair of these goodies and this picture made me super excited to try out different ways of styling them!

2. Cozy Turtlenecks and Neutral Makeup
This jumper looks super cozy and stylish! I just love pieces with a dual purpose. And I adore this pretty neutral makeup with rosy cheeks - such a perfect winter look!

3. Long Trench Coats and Wooly Scarves
These two pieces match perfectly and I love the simple style of this trench coat!

4. Velvet Hair Ribbons
I actually found this picture awhile ago but I feel this ribbon and hair style were made for winter! Can’t wait to head down to the fabric shop next time I’m home and buy some gorgeous ribbon like this!

Have a great weekend all! And if you’re here on the east coast of Australia, stay safe!

April Beauty Haul

Hope you have all had a great week! Mine has been super busy with two uni exams and an assignment due, but I’m super happy I still had time to put this post together. I’ve never done a haul post but I love watching other bloggers haul videos on youtube and reading them on their blogs so I hope you too enjoy!

1. Simple Moisturising Facial Wash
I couldn’t find my regular face wash by dove on the shelf in the supermarket this week so I figured it was the perfect opportunity to try something new, and this Simple face wash did not disappoint. It’s really moisturising and calming to my skin while also refreshing it and I would definitely recommend it! Also a bit cheaper than my previous face wash which is always a bonus.

2. Batiste Dry Shampoo in Cherry
I’m sure many of you already take advantage of the wonders of dry shampoo but this month was my first time trying it, and I love it! It smells amazing and it’s a lifesaver in between washes! A must have!

3. Freeman Avocado and Oatmeal Clay Mask
Okay, so I bought this a few months ago but I have run out hence it will be part of my beauty purchases in April but this stuff is absolutely amazing! Probably my favourite face product, it tightens my pores and my face feels super soft every week after I use it!

4. Cleansing Beauty Wipes
I don’t use wipes too often but my sister started using these cheaper generic ones from K-mart and they are just as good, if not better than branded face wipes, definitely a win!

5. Rimmel Colour Rush Colour Balm in Make Me Blush
This beauty product was also inspired by sister and this product is perfect for daily wear when you want something in between a lipstick and lip balm and I love the colour!

6. Mac Retro Matte Lipstick in Ruby Woo
This was my biggest splurge in the beauty department this month, but 100% worth it. I’ve never come across such a bold coloured lipstick. I bought it from Myer in Sydney and can’t wait to attend some fancy events to wear it out! You can check out my trip to Sydney here.

7. L’oreal Infallible Eyeshadows in With a Twist/Blinged and Brilliant
I already had another one of these eyeshadows in a different colour that I absolutely loved, so when I saw a buy on get one free on these how could I resist? These eyeshadows are super pigmented and stay put for the entire day. I can’t wait to try out the violet coloured one!

8. Maybelline Palette in Twilight Rays
Another bargain buy. I haven’t yet tried any shadows from this palette but arn’t the colours beautiful?!
Will you try any of these products? What items have you splurged on this month? Let me know in the comments below!

Sydney Style Diaries

Good afternoon lovelies,
I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend! I certainly did, exploring Sydney and attending the royal easter show in some of my new favourites! And, of course, a lot of chocolate was involved and I am in need of some serious detoxing right now!
I bought my red jumpsuit that I wore to the show from the suitcase rummages for only $3, but the elastic at the back of the jumpsuit was stretched, so I replaced it with red ribbon and to be honest I like the corset-like look of it a hundred times better! I’m not sure of it’s brand either but all I know is I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it at the suitcase rummages, and despite the damage to it I knew I wanted it!
I also bought a new necklace at the show, featured above in all my photos. I found it in a little boutique store set up in the market section of the show. When I first saw it I was unsure of whether I would wear it or not, but I was feeling the carnival vibes so decided to risk it, and I ended up wearing it everyday after that! I love it, it’s just too cute!
My last item I want to talk about is this Vintage Gingham crop from ASOS. I’d been holding off to wear it and figures Sydney was the perfect place to snap a few photos of me wearing it!
So what did you guys get up to on your Easter long weekend? Let me know in the comments below!
